Data Engineer
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gothenburg. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving data integration and supporting analytics across our business, particularly for finance and invoicing functions. Working closely with our Business Intelligence specialists, you'll help enhance our data infrastructure, support our invoicing platform, and contribute to the development of a robust group analytics solution. Your work will play a crucial role in our Citybreak Financials initiative and in optimizing data connectivity across our systems via API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain BI Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain data models and BI solutions using industry-standard BI tools to provide actionable insights, primarily for our business and finance teams.
- Data Integration and Pipeline Optimization: Build and optimize ETL pipelines with Snowflake and Azure Data Factory, ensuring data is seamlessly integrated and accessible across platforms for real-time analytics and reporting.
- API Integration: Manage and streamline data integration through APIs, enabling efficient data flows and enhancing data accessibility for our analytics and financial platforms.
- Support and Optimize Invoicing Platform: Maintain and improve our invoicing platform, ensuring high accuracy, efficiency, and data flow stability.
- Advanced Analytics Development: Contribute to the design of an advanced analytics platform, integrating data insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business, finance, and development teams on data-driven projects, providing technical expertise to support diverse company initiatives.
- Citybreak Financials Project Support: Play an active role in our Citybreak Financials journey, utilizing your data skills to improve financial analytics and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proven Experience in BI and Data Engineering: Expertise in BI tools and platforms, with a strong understanding of data modeling and visualization.
- Proficiency in Python and .NET: Skilled in scripting and application integration, leveraging Python and .NET to support data pipelines and API integrations.
- Advanced SQL Skills: Expertise in SQL, preferably with experience in Snowflake and Azure SQL environments, for complex querying and data manipulation.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory: Hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory for creating, scheduling, and managing ETL processes.
- API Integration: Solid experience in designing and implementing API integrations to support data automation and enhance system interoperability.
Qualifications
- Data Engineering Expertise: Proven ability to build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines that support seamless data integration and high-quality analytics.
- Financial Data Familiarity: Background in finance or experience working with financial data is highly desirable, as you’ll be working closely with finance teams and financial reporting.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into efficient technical solutions, generating insights that drive value.
- Collaborative Mindset: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to cross-functional projects and problem-solving.
